Shop Assistant

Restroom Trailer with Air Conditioner
Reports to: Branch Manager
Work Hours: 6 am-4 pm Monday – Friday
Work Location: Onsite/in-person
Required Qualifications/Skills and Abilities:
● High school diploma or GED.
● Must have a valid Ohio Drivers License.
● Must have a clean driving record.
● Must be willing to pass a drug test.
Position Summary:
As a Shop Assistant at Miller Portables, your primary role is to ensure that all returning Miller Portable units are thoroughly cleaned daily. Performs defined cleaning procedures, using various chemical and cleaning agents, supplies, and equipment for all vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
● Must be capable of driving and operating a forklift.
● Bending, stretching, and lifting.
● Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
● Must be able to handle cold weather conditions and tolerate variable and sometimes extreme physical conditions during company equipment cleaning or inspections.
Responsibilities:
● Maintaining clean grounds and mowing.
● Responsible for washing portable units.
● Must wear required PPE for the specific job or task.
● Operate a forklift to move portable units around the yard.
● Accountable for the daily stocking of supplies for all drivers.
● Must be available for emergency delivery and pickup services.
● Regularly drive truck transferring waste from branch to waste treatment plant as needed.
● Communicate daily with the branch manager about upcoming and completed tasks.

Performance Standards:
● 60-day probationary/evaluation.
● Performance assessment with manager to ensure employee’s work performance and ethics are aligned with the company’s Mission and Core Values.
